STUART, Fla. - Competing in the Bob Mowerson Memorial Swim Meet on their Winter training trip to Florida, the Ripon men's swimming team lost to Brooklyn (N.Y.) College by a score of 260-183. Despite the loss, the Red Hawks recorded six individual first-place finishes.
Alec Sutton and
Jack Lutter led the way with two first-place finishes apiece. Sutton won the 100 freestyle with a time of 1:01.58, while also finishing first in the 50 backstroke with a time of 34.23. Lutter was victorious in both the 200 IM (2:31.97) and 50 freestyle (27.47).
Antony Gradillas added a first-place finish in the 400 freestyle (5:13.57), while
Brenden Finley won the 50 breaststroke with a time of 37.09.
Ripon will be in action again on Saturday when they'll travel to Carroll University. That tri-meet will take place in Waukesha, Wis. at 1 p.m.
