RIPON, Wis. - The Red Hawks lost to Cornell in three sets Friday night, losing the first 12-25, before losing both the second and third set by identical 14-25 scores. The win wraps up Cornell's sixth consecutive Midwest Conference regular season championship.
Cornell (20-6, 8-0 MWC) finished the match with 46 kills and a hitting percentage of .320, while Ripon (9-15, 4-3 MWC) posted 17 kills and a .013 hitting percentage.
Emily Allard and Jonalee Elliott led Ripon with five kills apiece, while
Kat Kulas recorded four kills.
Olivia Heck led the Red Hawks in both assists (10) and digs (9), while Kulas,
Kaylie Marks, and
Kylie Tomashek each finished with two blocks.
Cornell was led by Diamond Boyd, who recorded a team-high 13 kills and four blocks. Jillian Schulte added 33 assists, while Sydney Meeker led the Rams with 11 digs.
