BELOIT, Wis. - Ripon's men's soccer team fell to Beloit Saturday afternoon by a score of 2-0. The Red Hawks were also out-shot by a 27-8 margin, including 12-2 in the second half.
Beloit (4-8-0, 1-4-0 MWC) broke a scoreless tie in the 30th minute when Jose Gutierrez scored on a Penalty Kick. Neither team would score again until the 78th minute when Daniel Stockton doubled Beloit's lead with a goal, thanks to an assist from Connor Peterson, to cap the scoring.
Jimmy Amedeo recorded 13 saves for the Red Hawks (2-10-1, 0-4-0 MWC), while playing all 90 minutes at Goal Keeper.
The Red Hawks will look to turn things around on Wednesday when they'll host Lawrence University. That game will begin at 3:30 p.m. in Ripon, Wis. and can be seen live atÂ
