The Red Hawks shot 44 percent (31-71) from the field, while converting 47 percent (7-15) of their 3-pointers, while holding Marian to just 24 percent (8-34) shooting, including 16 percent (2-13) in the second half.

Ripon (1-0) scored early and often, as Emma McDonald connected on back-to-back 3-pointers to begin the game, which was part of a 10-0 run in the first three and a half minutes. The Red Hawks out-scored Marian 29-5 in the opening period. Ripon never led by less than 22 points the rest of the day, taking a 47-21 lead into halftime.
