RIPON, Wis. - For the second day in a row, Ripon's men's soccer team failed to score a goal, falling to Bethany Lutheran 2-0 on Sunday afternoon.
Bethany Lutheran (1-2-0) scored the game's first goal in the 36th minute when Samuel Duran connected on a Penalty Kick. The only other goal of the game came in the 81st minute when Jonathan Sehloff scored unassisted on a free kick to to the top left corner of the net.
Despite the loss, Ripon (2-2-1) outshot Bethany Lutheran 13-10, including 9-6 in the second half.
Jimmy Amedeo played all 90 minutes between the pipes for the Red Hawks, making seven saves. Bethany Lutheran Goal Keeper Trenton Krueger also played the entire game, saving 12 shots.
Ripon will be in action again on Wednesday when they'll host Marian (Wis.) at 4 p.m. That game will be played at Prarie Field in Ripon and can be seen live atÂ
