RIPON, Wis. - For the third time in the last four years, the Ripon College volleyball team has defeated UW-River Falls. The Red Hawks latest win in the series came during Friday night's Ripon Quadrangular, defeating the Falcons in straight sets, 25-18, 25-21, 25-23.
Ripon (4-10) finished the match with 43 kills and a team hitting percentage of .245, while UW-River Falls (12-5) posted 34 kills and a .102 hitting percentage.
Emily Allard and
Jonalee Elliott led the Red Hawks with 11 kills apiece.
Kat Kulas and
Brooke Bauer each recorded eight kills, to go along with hitting percentages of .667 and .333, respectively. Oliva Heck led Ripon with 20 assists, to go along with a team-high two service aces, while
Stacie Klika led the team in digs, with 12.
The Red Hawks will try to pick up a couple more wins on Saturday in the second day of the 2017 Ripon Quadrangular. They will play Finlandia at 10 a.m. and Simpson at 12:30 p.m. Both matches can be seen live atÂ
