GALESBURG, Ill. - Ripon's volleyball team extended their winning streak to three matches Friday night with a victory at Knox College. All three matches in their current winning streak have ended in three sets, with the latest by a score of 25-19, 25-19, 25-19.
The Red Hawks (9-15, 3-3 MWC) recorded at least 15 kills in each set, finishing the match with 48 kills and a hitting percentage of .282. Knox (5-19, 0-7 MWC) registered 27 kills on the night, and a hitting percentage of .154.
Emily Allard led all players with 13 kills for Ripon, to go along with a hitting percentage of .250, nine digs, and two assists.
Kaylie Marks added 12 kills and a hitting percentage of .292, while
Brooke Bauer posted 11 kills and a hitting percentage of .375.
Olivia Heck led all players with 34 assists and three service aces, while
Stacie Klika recorded a team-high 15 digs.
Knox was led by seven kills from Autumn Schneider. Kaitlyn Haase and Marissa Akers each finished with six kills.
With the win, Ripon moves into a tie with Lake Forest for fifth place in the MWC standings. The Red Hawks will be back in action on Saturday when they'll travel to regular season champion Cornell College. That match will begin at 1 p.m., and can be seen live atÂ
