MOUNT VERNON, Iowa - Cornell College completed an undefeated conference season Saturday afternoon, defeating Ripon 3-0, winning the first set 25-16, before also winning the second and third, 25-12 and 25-17, respectively.
Ripon (9-16, 3-4 MWC) recorded 25 kills and a hitting percentage of .032 in the match.
Emily Allard led the way with nine kills, to go along with five digs.
Inesha Wiseman added seven kills and a hitting percentage of .227, while
Brooke Bauer and
Kaylie Marks each had four kills.
Olivia Heck led the team with 24 assists and two service aces, while
Stacie Klika recorded a team-high 15 digs. That gives Klika 1,275 career digs, which moves her into seventh place on the school's career record book.
Cornell (14-8, 9-0 MWC) finished the day with 33 kills and a hitting percentage of .256. Alissa McEndaffer led the Rams with nine kills, while Allison Eikenberry and Nicole Ciari each finished with seven. Jillian Schulte led the team with 27 assists, while Sydney Meeker had a team-high 14 digs.
