RIPON, Wis. -Â Ripon's women's swim team kicked off their 2018-19 season in style Saturday afternoon, defeating Loras College 113-102 in a dual meet, which was their first of two home meets this season.
The Red Hawks finished the day with five individual first-place finishes.
Laryssa Vaclavik won the 1000 Freestyle with a time of 12:43.15, while
Katherine King won the 50 Freestyle with a time of 26.61. Also winning their respective events was
McKenna Bartelme in the 200 IM (2:33.52),
Cierra Boutelle in the 100 Freestyle (59.45), and
Abby Anderson in the 500 Freestyle (5:57.05).
Ripon's 200 Freestyle Relay team of King, Anderson, Boutelle, and
Kim Frisque also finished in first place. That quartet swam a time of 1:53.06, which was five seconds faster than the second-place team.
The Red Hawks will be in action again next weekend when they'll take part in the Lawrence Dual at 1 p.m. on Saturday in Appleton, Wis.
