RIPON, Wis. - Ripon's volleyball team picked up a much needed victory Friday night, snapping a nine-match losing streak by defeating conference foe Monmouth College in three sets (27-25, 25-21, 25-17). That gives Ripon (6-13, 1-1 MWC) its first conference victory of the season, helping them keep pace with the top half of the conference standings.

The Red Hawks recorded double digit kills in each set, including 19 in the first frame, for a total of 51 kills, while also finishing the match with a team hitting percentage of .282. Monmouth recorded 34 kills on the day, and a hitting percentage of .174.

Emily Allard led Ripon with 18 kills, which is two shy of her career high. Allard also posted a hitting percentage of .255, to go along with 14 digs and two assists. Inesha Wiseman and Brooke Bauer each finished with 11 kills and a hitting percentage of .233 and .435, respectively. Olivia Heck led the Red Hawks with 40 assists, while Stacie Klika registered a team-high 18 digs.

Monmouth (10-10, 0-3 MWC) was led by Lauren Sperry's nine kills, while Ali Gustafson recorded six kills and seven digs. Laura Dulee led the Fighting Scots with 15 assists, while Renee Rude finished with a match-best 19 digs.
