GRINNELL, Iowa - The Ripon College volleyball team lost both matches they played on Saturday, falling to both Grinnell and Central College in three sets.
In the first match of the day, Ripon (5-13, 0-1 MWC) lost their conference opener to Grinnell (10-10, 1-0 MWC) by a score of 25-20, 25-20, 25-20. Ripon was led by freshman
Inesha Wiseman, who recorded nine kills and 10 digs.
Brooke Bauer added seven kills and eight digs, while
Kaylie Marks posted six kills.
Olivia Heck led the Red Hawks with 21 assists, while
Stacie Klika added a team-high 26 digs.
Melinda Boehm also chipped in with a team-best three service aces.
In the day's second match, Ripon lost a non-conference contest to Central (9-8) by a score of 25-21, 25-19, 25-23.
Emily Allard led the Red Hawks with 10 kills, while adding eight digs. Heck again led Ripon with 17 assists, while
Micaela Encarnacion posted a team-best 18 digs. Klika added 12 digs, giving her 1,161 in her career, which moves her into eighth place in program history.
Ripon will jump back into conference play on Friday when they'll host Monmouth College. That match will begin at 7 p.m. at Weiske Gymnasium in Ripon, and can be seen live atÂ
