RIPON, Wis. - In a match that featured 27 ties and 13 lead changes, Lawrence defeated Ripon in three sets Friday night, winni9ng by a score of 25-23, 25-18, and 26-24. The Vikings recorded 44 kills on the night, while Ripon finished with 34.
Ripon (2-18, 0-5 MWC) was led by a trio of players with six kills apiece, as
Inesha Wiseman,
Emily Allard, and
Monika Minniecheske did the honors. Wiseman also added 10 digs, while Allard and Minniecheske each recorded three blocks.
Lydia Ellis led the team in blocks with four, while
Ellie MacKenzie recorded a team-high 17 assists.
Micaela Encarnacion chipped in with a team-best 19 digs, while also leading the team with two service aces.
Lawrence (5-16, 1-3 MWC) was led by Elizabeth Liebau's 15 kills, while adding a hitting percentage of .312. Averie Miller led the Vikings with 36 assists, while Laurice Lavajo posted a team-high 15 digs.
