RIPON, Wis. - The Ripon College volleyball team was in control of Friday night's match from start to finish, defeating Knox in three sets, 25-8, 25-20, 25-17. The Red Hawks posted their second-best hitting percentage in a match this season (.270), while their 45 kills were nearly double the number that Knox produced.
After leading Knox (10-16, 2-5 MWC) by a score of 7-5 early in the first set, Ripon (3-18, 1-5 MWC) reeled off seven consecutive points and never looked back, ending the set on an 18-3 run.
Ripon was led by
Inesha Wiseman, who celebrated her birthday with a match-high 13 kills and a hitting percentage of .387, while also posting 15 digs, three assists, one block, and one service ace.
Monika Minniecheske added eight kills, while
Emily Allard finished with seven.
Micaela Encarnacion led the Red Hawks in digs with 24, while
Ellie MacKenzie tallied a match-high 34 assists.
Knox was led by Catessa Duran's nine kills and two blocks, while Kylie Wolf had 12 assists. Mady Ferris led the Prairie Fire with 21 digs.
