RIPON, Wis. - Ripon's volleyball team faced one of the best teams in the Midwest Conference Saturday afternoon, losing to Grinnell in three sets (25-9, 25-23, 25-16).
Grinnell (20-3, 5-1 MWC) recorded 47 kills in the match, to go along with a hitting percentage of .316, while Ripon (3-19, 1-6 MWC) managed 26 kills and a hitting percentage of .037.
The Red Hawks were led by
Emily Allard's seven kills, while
Lydia Ellis and
Brooke Bauer each finished with five kills.
Micaela Encarnacion and
Ellie MacKenzie led Ripon in digs and assists with 12 and 19, respectively, while Bauer registered four blocks (one solo).
Kaylin Kuhn led Grinnell with 14 kills, while Rachel Woock and Olivia Jensen each recorded 12 kills and hitting percentages of .478 and .706, respectively. Julianna Roth posted a match-high 26 assists, while Woock's 13 digs led the Pioneers.
