INDIVIDUAL RESULTS
WINONA, Minn. - Ripon's men's swim team defeated Saint Mary's (Minn.) Saturday afternoon in convincing fashion by a score of 107-13. The Red Hawks finished the day with nine individual first-place finishes, while also winning two relays.
Ben Chambers recorded a pair of first-place finishes, winning both the 200 freestyle (1:55.21) and 100 backstroke (1:01.54), while
Joseph Maddux also won a pair of events in the 200 IM (2:17.61) and 500 freestyle (5:43.05). Also winning two events on the day was
Aliber Garcia in the 100 freestyle (53.24) and 50 freestyle (23.66).
Ben Georgia also placed first in the 1000 freestyle (11:26.59) and the 100 breaststroke (1:06.77), while
Ethan Brannen won the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:00.79.
In the relay competition, Ripon's 200 Medley team of Chambers, Georgia, Maddux, and
Ethan Ripp finished first with a time of 1:48.35. Ripon's 200 freestyle relay team of Garcia, Ripp, Maddux, and Chambers also placed first with a time of 1:35.02.
The Red Hawks will take next week off from competition, before returning to the pool on December 6 at the two-day Pioneer Classic, hosted by Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa.
