RIPON, Wis. - Ripon's volleyball team ended the 2019 Red Hawks Invitational with a pair of losses Saturday, losing in three sets to both MSOE and Saint Mary's (Minn.).
In their first match of the day, Ripon lost to MSOE 25-23, 25-16, 25-20). The Red Hawks (2-8) were led by 10 kills from
Emily Allard, who also posted a team-high 10 digs.
Lydia Ellis chipped in with seven kills and a hitting percentage of .267, while
Ellie MacKenzie led the team with 22 assists and
Brooke Bauer notched a team-best four blocks (two solo).
Ripon finished the day by losing to Saint Mary's (Minn.) 25-14, 25-15, 25-19.
Inesha Wiseman led the team with eight kills and a .286 hitting percentage, en route to being named to the All-Tournament team. Ellis and Allard each recorded six kills, with Allard adding eight assists and a team-high 11 digs. MacKenzie led the team once more with 20 assists.
The Red Hawks will have another crack at Saint Mary's in their next match, as the two teams will square off Friday at 7 p.m. in Cedar Rapids, Iowa at the Mabel Lee Tournament, hosted by Coe College.
