DE PERE, Wis. - Ripon opened their 2019 conference season Wednesday night with a three-set loss at St. Norbert College. The Green Knights won the first set 25-16, before winning the next two 25-19 and 25-12, respectively.
St. Norbert (10-6, 1-0 MWC) finished the match with 41 kills and a hitting percentage of .267, while Ripon (2-13, 0-1 MWC) had 25 kills and a .093 hitting percentage. The Red Hawks were led by
Inesha Wiseman's eight kills, while
Emily Allard recorded six kills and four digs.
Brooke Bauer also chipped in with four kills (.300 hitting percentage) and a team-high two blocks.
Ellie MacKenzie led Ripon in assists (22), while
Micaela Encarnacion was the team leader in digs (15).
The Green Knights received 11 kills from Grace Baumann to lead the way, while Emily Terry and Jessica Geurts recorded nine and seven kills, respectively. Emily Rohloff led St. Norbert in assists with 33, while Liz Maastricht led the team in digs with 20. Geurts also posted a match-high four service aces.
