RIPON, Wis. - Ripon's women's soccer team lost 7-0 Thursday night against UW-Whitewater. The Warhawks scored just two goals in the first half, but were able to break the game wide open mid-way through the second period. Whitewater out-shot Ripon 43-1 in the contest.
Anna Brodjian got the scoring started just one minute into the game on a header in front of the goal. Brodjian would add another goal from 15 yards away in the 16th minute.
After taking a 2-0 lead into halftime, UW-Whitewater continued to score in the second half, as Madisyn Frank went one-on-one with Ripon's Goal Keeper to make the score 3-0. The Warhawks would then score four goals in the final 19 minutes of the contest, with Belle Blauert, Brittany Elinghaus, Megan Kuirtz, and Payton Navis each scoring once.
Andreanna Wilke played the entire game in goal for the Red Hawks, making 18 saves.Â
Ripon will be in action again on Saturday when they'll host Cornell (Iowa) College. That game will begin at 11 a.m., and can be seen live at https://portal.stretchinternet.com/ripon/.
