INDIVIDUAL RESULTS
RIPON, Wis. - In their first meet of the 2021-22 season Saturday afternoon, Ripon's men's swim team defeated Loras College by a score of 119-106. The Red Hawks swam to 10 first-place finishes on the day, including both relays that were swam.
Sophomore
Brigham Freeman had one of the best days for the Red Hawks, winning both the 1000 freestyle (11:10.14) and 500 freestyle (5:22.65). Also winning two events on the day was senior
Ben Chambers, who was victorious in both the 50 freestyle (22.84) and 100 breaststroke (1:03.44) and
Dominic Yoder in the 200 IM (2:02.95) and 100 backstroke (55.55). Both Freeman and Chambers also swam a leg on Ripon's winning 200 freestyle relay team, along with
Aliber Garcia and
Ben Rahlf, which swam a time of 1:33.29.
Also winning an event on Saturday included
Joe Maddux in the 200 freestyle (1:58.62), and
Zach Olstinske in the 100 butterfly (58.05). Yoder, Olstinske, and Maddux also teamed up with
Ethan Brannen to win the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:43.21.
Ripon will try to keep things rolling next weekend when they'll travel to Appleton, Wis. for a dual meet at Lawrence University, beginning at 1 p.m.
