INDIVIDUAL RESULTS
RIPON, Wis. -Â In their first meet of the 2021-22 season Saturday afternoon, Ripon's women's swim team earned a dominating victory over Loras College by a final score of 115-81. The Red Hawks swam to eight first-place finishes on the day, including both relays that were swam.
Ripon's meet was highlighted by a trio of swimmers whom each won a pair of events. Swimming in her first-ever collegiate meet, freshman
Brianna Foth won both the 1000 freestyle (12:03.70) and the 500 freestyle (5:48.06). Fellow first-year swimmers
Sky Domingo and
Sophie Czerwonka also each won two events. Domingo was victorious in the 200 freestyle (2:04.34) and 100 freestyle (56.86), winning both events by at least seven seconds, while Czerwonka won both the 200 IM (2:29.13) and 100 breaststroke (1:16.59).
In relay competition, Ripon's 200 medley relay team of Czerwonka, Domingo, McKenna Barelme, and Brennan O'Leary swam a time of 2:02.49, which was two seconds better than the second-place time. The Red Hawks also won the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:49.31, which was swam by
Lily Lustig,
Lauren Bahr,
Lali Marquez, and
Madeline Witt.
Ripon will try to keep things rolling next weekend when they'll travel to Appleton, Wis. for a dual meet at Lawrence University, beginning at 1 p.m.
