INDIVIDUAL RESULTS
APPLETON, Wis. -Â For just the second time in head coach Ryan Goggan's seven-year tenure with the Red Hawks, his men's team defeated Lawrence University, topping their in-state rival 109-99 on Saturday afternoon. The Red Hawks saw 10 first-place finishes on the day, including both relays.
Ripon saw three swimmers win more than one event during Saturday's meet, with
Ben Chambers,
Brigham Freeman, and
Dominic Yoder doing the honors. Chambers won the 50 freestyle with a time of 23.10 and the 100 freestyle with a time of 50.58. Freeman won the 200 freestyle (1:53.49) and 500 freestyle (5:20.63), while Yoder won the 200 IM (2:02.53) and 100 backstroke (54.98). Ripon's two other event wins came from
Zach Olstinske in the 100 butterfly (57.69) and
Ethan Brannen in the 100 breaststroke (1:06.81).
Ripon's 200 medley relay team of Yoder, Brannen, Olstinske, and
Joe Maddux was also victorious with a time of 1:43.90, while their 200 freestyle relay team of Freeman, Chambers,
Aliber Garcia, and
Ben Rahlf also finished in first place with a time of 1:48.03.
Ripon will now take next week off from competition, before jumping back in on Saturday, November 6 with a double dual against Beloit College and Knox College in Beloit, Wis.
