BELOIT, Wis. - Ripon's women's basketball team scored at least 20 points in three of Friday's four quarters, while shooting 51 percent (35-69) from the field and 44 percent (7-16) from 3-point range, en route to a 94-43 victory at Beloit.
The Red Hawks (3-6, 2-0 MWC) scored the first five points of the game and used a 30-point opening quarter to take a 20-point lead into the second period. Ripon would extend their lead to 29 on a
Kassidy Walters layup in the final minute of the half.
Ripon never led by less than 20 during the entirety of the second half. They took their largest lead of 51 on the game's final basket, a jumper by
Anna Fahrney with under one minute to play.
Skyylar Brescia led Rpon with her third career double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds. Walters added career-highs of 15 points and six rebounds off the bench, while
Alison Leslie and
Abby Hartmann scored 13 and 12 points, respectively.
Beloit (3-7, 0-3 MWC) was led by T'Aira Boyance's 14 points. Addyson Ciochon added 11 points for the Buccaneers.
