Ripon controlled the tempo in the first quarter, building a seven-point lead with just over two minutes remaining in the period. UW-Stevens Point would end the quarter on a 7-0 run however to tie the score at 16. The Pointers continued that momentum in the second quarter, scoring the first eight points, but Ripon would cut that lead to three on an Annika Anderson 3-pointer midway through the period.

After taking a five-point lead into halftime, UW-Stevens Point's lead slipped away early in the second half, which saw Ripon take the lead thanks to an 8-2 run in the opening minutes. UW-Stevens Point took a six-point lead into the final quarter, but Ripon tied the score at 44 with eight minutes remaining on a layup by Skyylar Brescia. Ripon would take the lead on an Abby Hartmann basket on Ripon's next possession, but the Pointers answered with a pair of free throws to take the lead for good.

Hartmann led Ripon with a career-high 15 points in 24 minutes off the bench, while also adding five rebounds (three offensive). Brescia also scored a career-high 14 points, while adding five rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Kiana Fall chipped in with nine points, six assists, and four steals.
