RIPON, Wis. - Ripon's men's tennis team put up a good fight Saturday afternoon, but ultimately lost 6-3 in a match where nearly all matches were competitive. MSOE won four of the six singles matches, while winning two of the three doubles contests.
In doubles play,
Drew Jorgensen and
Marcus Austin teamed up to win at the top flight by a score of 8-6. Jorgensen also won his number one singles match, defeating Alec Dam 6-0, 6-1.
Preston Wurtz was also victorious, defeating Parker Kuhlman 6-3, 6-4 at number two singles.
Ripon (1-2) will try to rebound on Sunday when they'll host Loras College at 1 p.m. at The Fieldhouse inside Willmore Center.
