LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Ripon's volleyball team lost to Lake Forest College Friday night in four sets. Lake Forest won the first set 25-19, before Ripon tied the match at one with a 25-22 set two victory. The Foresters then closed the game by winning the final two sets by identical 25-18 scores.
Ripon (0-2) led by at least one point in every set. The Red Hawks were led by
Emily Allard's 19 kills, to go along with a team-high hitting percentage of .173.
Riley Nielsen chipped in with 38 assists, to go along with eight digs, while
Micaela Encarnacion's 15 digs led the team.
Olivia Smith led Lake Forest (4-1) with 17 kills and a hitting percentage of .317. Allyson Richards added 36 assists, while Izzi Visnjevac led the team in both service aces (3) and digs (16).
Ripon will be in action against these same Foresters on Saturday when the two will battle at Willmore Center in Ripon.
