PELLA, Iowa - Ripon's women's soccer team allowed five first half goals Saturday afternoon, en route to an 8-0 loss to Central College. Central out-shot the Red Hawks 30-1, including 15-0 after halftime. All eight goals came from eight different players.
Central (1-1) got the scoring started early, as Grace Coates broke a scoreless tie less than four minutes into the contest. Amber Santana would add another goal nearly four minutes later and Abby Frey made the score 3-0 when she found the back of the net in the 20th minute. Jacie Borman and Jadyn Jacobs also scored one goal apiece in the first half, to give Central a 5-0 halftime lead.
Three minutes into the second half, the Dutch would score again when Elena Pinto notched her first goal of the season. Abby Sutberry and Nicole Lutz would cap the scoring for the Dutch.

Andreanna Wilke combined to make 16 saves, while Sheila Horstmann saved the only shot she faced for Central.
