On the same day that freshman running back
Connor Ramage was named MWC Offensive Performer of the Week, the Green Bay, Wis. native and Ashwaubenon High School product also has been selected to D3football.com's Team of the Week for his dazzling debut in Ripon's 46-38 season-opening victory. The Team of the Week, presented by Scoutware, is
D3football.com's weekly honor roll, in its 23rd season of recognizing the top performance at each position from the previous week. Players are nominated by each individual school.
Playing the first game of his college career Saturday night, Ramage carried the ball 36 times for 226 yards and six touchdowns, which ties a single game school record and is just two shy of the conference record. His yardage output ranks 10th in program history for a single game. An Exercise Science major at Ripon, Ramage averaged 6.3 yards per carry in the victory, while also making one reception for 21 yards.
This marks the first Ripon football player named to the National Team of the Week since Lane Barnes accomplished the feat twice during the 2018 season. The full list of players named to this week's D3football Team of the Week can be found at
