OSHKOSH, Wis. – The Ripon volleyball team fell in three sets on Wednesday night at the hands of red-hot UW-Oshkosh, who have now won 14 straight matches.
Inesha Wiseman led the way offensively for the Red Hawks once again, picking up six kills.
The Titans got in rhythm early, jumping out to an 11-0 lead before the Red Hawks had a chance to blink. A 7-0 Ripon run followed, but UW-Oshkosh was unfazed, cruising to a 25-14 set victory.
The Red Hawks took their first lead of the night when Wiseman's kill made it 4-3 in the second set as part of a stretch of four straight Ripon points. The Titans stormed back to move in front 11-10 and never looked back, taking a 2-0 lead with a 25-18 win.
The third set was Ripon's best of the night, as an attack error brought the Red Hawks even at 11. The two teams went back and forth before the Titans ultimately pulled away to the tune of 25-20 victory to finish off the sweep.
Karly Westphal's 15 assists led the Red Hawks, while
Sam Thrasher picked up 10 digs for the 22nd time this fall. Ripon wraps up the 2022 campaign at home on Saturday against Beloit, with first serve coming at 1:00 p.m.
