RIPON, Wis. - Ripon rode a 20-point halftime advantage to an easy 80-64 victory over Coe College Saturday afternoon.

Owen Theune led the Red Hawks with a game-high-tying 15 points, on 6-of-7 shooting, in 22 minutes of play. He was one of four Ripon players in double figures with Luke Meinholz registering 14 points and 5 steals in just 16 minutes of action, Dominic Galati scoring 11 points, and Jaylen Mahone chipping in 10. David DeValk had a near double-double as he had a game-high 12 rebounds to go along with his 8 points.

Ripon used multiple runs in the first half to gain a comfortable advantage. The first was an 11-0 run that covered nearly 3 minutes, which turned an early 5-2 deficit into a 13-5 lead. Then, a few minutes later saw the Red Hawks go on a 15-2 run to break open an 18-point lead. Ripon led by as much as 24 in the first half before going into the halftime break with a 47-27 lead. The Red Hawks shot 59 percent from the field and knocked down 5 three-pointers in the opening frame.

The Red Hawks held a double-digit lead for the entirety of the second half, but Coe did their best to put pressure on Ripon by coming out of the break with a 13-5 run and cutting their deficit to 13 points. Ripon answered with one of their signature runs, ripping-off 13 of the next 15 points over the next 5-plus minutes to make it 66-42 with 10 minutes to play. The 24-point advantage matched the Red Hawks' largest lead in the first half and was their largest of the second half as Ripon went into cruise control over the final 10 minutes to secure the 80-64 victory.

Ripon, now 3-0, will hit the road for the first time this season when they travel to play UW-La Crosse on Tuesday, November 22
