BELOIT, Wis. – The Ripon College women's swimming and diving team went 1-2 at the Beloit Invitational Saturday afternoon.
The Red Hawks are now 2-4 on the season.
Ripon College defeat North Central College (174-50) before falling to Illinois College (125-122) and Beloit College (137.5-124.50).
The Red Hawks started the meet with a third-place effort in the 200-yard medley. Kenney Moore, Natalie Weidner, Kaitlyn Gennaro and Brenann O'Leary notched a time of 2:11.0.
Sophie Czerwonka captured the 100-IM championship with a mark of 1:06.70. Weidner took third in 1:10.92.
Abby Anderson touched the wall in 2:11.46 int eh 200-freestyle, which was good enough for first place.
Lauren Bahr was second in the 50-backstroke after finishing with a time of 30.65.
Sky Domingo continued her dominance with a 50-breaststroke title. She wrapped up the event in 3.48.
Kaitlyn Gennaro was second in the 100-fly after touching the wall in 1:14.09.
Weidner and Bahr went back-to-back in the 50 freestyle. Weidner was third in 27.20 while Bahr took fourth in 27.31.
Bahr picked up the bronze medal in the 100 backstroke with a mark of 1:07.84.
Anderson captured the gold medal in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:48.03. Czerwonka was third in the 50 fly after touching the wall in 31.07.
Domingo was edged for the 200 IM championship. She was second with a time of 2:28.23.
Ripon College combined to win the 200 freestyle relay to wrap up the meet. Bahr, Anderson, Czerwonka and Domingo registered a time of 1:49.84 for the victory.
The Red Hawks return to action Friday, Dec. 2 for the two-day Pioneer Classic.
