FRANKLIN, Wis. - Ripon's men's tennis team lost to Wisconsin Lutheran Thursday night by a score of 7-2. The Red Hawks earned one team point at both the doubles and singles competitions.

In number three doubles, Ripon's team of Preston Wurtz and Eugene Pliska defeated Matt Bass and Josh Hennen 8-6. Ty Rondestvedt and Jaden Francis also played a good match at number two doubles, before ultimately losing by a score of 6-8.

In singles play, Ripon's only win came at the number five flight where Francis defeated Bass 6-2, 6-3. Marcus Austin also gave his opponent everything they could handle at the number three flight, before losing 3-6, 6-4, 5-10.

Ripon will be in action again on Friday when they'll host Calvin University at 5 p.m. inside The Field House at Willmore Center in Ripon.
