Ripon Defeats UW-Oshkosh In Dual Meet

RESULTS

OSHKOSH, Wis. -
In what was their final meet before the Midwest Conference Championships later this month, Ripon's men's swim team defeated UW-Oshkosh by a score of 118-106. The Red Hawks finished with eight first-place finishes on the day, including one relay.

Highlighting Ripon's outstanding performance was freshman Dominic Yoder, who won all three individual events he competed in, while also swimming a leg on a first-place relay team. Yoder won the 200 freestyle (1:50.72), 200 backstroke (2:05.15), and 200 IM (2:02.95), while also teaming up with Ben Chambers, Ben Rahlf, and Brigham Freeman to win the 400 Medley Relay with a time of 3:44.83, which was nearly 23 seconds better than UW-Oshkosh's relay team.

Chambers also won multiple events for the Red Hawks, placing first in both the 50 freestyle (23.45) and 100 freestyle (51.80). Zach Olstinske added a first-place finish in the 100 backstroke with a time of 57.21, which was seven seconds better than the second-place time, while Ben Rahlf won the 100 butterfly with a time of 56.36.

Ripon will now take next weekend off from competition, before jumping back into the pool for the first day of the three-day MWC Championships on February 18.
