RIPON, Wis. - Ripon's men's tennis team lost to Wartburg College 6-3 on Sunday afternoon.

The Red Hawks were very competitive in doubles play, as Marcus Austin and Calvin Battle teamed up to win their top flight match by a score of 8-5. Ripon lost the number two and three flights by scores of 6-8 and 5-8, respectively.

In singles play, Preston Wurtz earned a team point with a victory at the number two flight, winning a marathon match, 3-6, 7-5, 14-12. Austin also earned the win at the number three flight by a score of 6-4, 6-2.

Ripon will be in action again on February 18 when they'll host Calvin College at 5 p.m. inside The Field House at Willmore Center in Ripon.
