RIPON, Wisconsin – After a 15th place finish at the NCAA North Regional on Saturday, senior
Mikalya Flyte of the Ripon cross country program has been selected as an at-large runner to participate at the NCAA Championships next Saturday, November 18, at Big Springs High School in Newville, Pennsylvania.
The premier Red Hawks' runner in 2023, Flyte is a three-time All-Midwest Conference athlete who has five top-10 finishes this season. The senior from Coloma, Wisconsin will be the fourth female in Ripon cross country history to race at the NCAA Championships, following Lori Stich in 1989 and 1990, Brittney Dick in 2006 and
Michelle Matter in 2012.
The top seven individuals from each region, in each gender, from non-qualifying NCAA teams, earn bids to compete individually at the NCAA Championships.
