Ripon Swim Programs Named as CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams

RICHMOND, Va. – The Ripon College men's and women's swimming teams have been selected by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) as a Scholar All-America Team. The Red Hawks have now seen both squads pick up the honor in each of the last seven years, with first-year head coach Jon Wilson continuing the tradition.

"I am very proud of this group for both their athletic achievements and, more importantly, their academic success. They truly embody what it means to be a student-athlete," Wilson said. "We try to focus and academic success and hold everyone accountable both in and out of the classroom. It is an honor and privilege to be a part of the team's continued academic accolades."

To be selected as a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, programs must have achieved a grade point average of 3.00 or higher. Ripon's women turned in a 3.22 for the fall semester, while the Red Hawk men posted a team GPA of 3.15.

"Ripon College supports opportunities to equip their student-athletes with the confidence, courage, perseverance and teamwork that will help them thrive on campus and well-beyond graduation," CSCAA Executive Director Samantha Barany said. "Ripon ranks among our very best."

Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
