RIPON, Wis. – The Red Hawk women's swimming team hosted UW-Oshkosh on Saturday afternoon at Kohler Pool, falling by a final tally of 114-87. Ripon came away with wins in the 50 free and the 100 breast to close out the regular season while turning in a slew of strong performances in the 100 back.
In the 100 back, the Red Hawks claimed four of the top five individuals, highlighted by Domingo's time of 1:09.96. Freshmen
Kennedy Moore (1:11.86), Grace McRery (1:11.95) and
Macey Manni (1:13.65) rounded out the top five respectively in Ripon's strongest event of the afternoon.
Sophomore
Sky Domingo turned in a time of 26.50 to win the 50 free, while freshman teammate
Natalie Weidner finished on her heels with a 26.65 to claim second place. The 100 breast saw sophomore
Sophie Czerwonka win the event with a time of 1:14.25 to continue the trend of Ripon underclassmen having an impressive day.
The Red Hawks are back in the pool on Feb. 17, when they head to the Midwest Conference Championships in Grinnell, Iowa.
