RIPON, Wisconsin – The Ripon swim and dive programs competed at Kohler Pool for the final time this season as the Red Hawk men earned a dual meet victory over Carroll to highlight Senior Day on Saturday afternoon.
Facing former Midwest Conference foes St. Norbert and Carroll, the Red Hawks picked up a host of relay and individual victories in their final tri meet of the current campaign.
On the men's side, the 200 medley relay team of
Ben Chambers,
Brigham Freeman,
Ben Rahlf and
Cooper Herr took first with a time of 1:40.16. For the second consecutive day, Chambers won the 50 free event with a 22.62 showing. He also paced the 100 breast field in 1:03.19 – Freeman took first in that event on Friday night at UW-Oshkosh and took second in Saturday's meet (1:03.55).
Additionally, Rahlf took second in the 100 back (58.48) while Herr was the runner-up in the 500 free (5:06.86).
On the women's side, Ripon had strong performances in diving.
Mary Elliot won the 1-meter diving with a score of 75.50, while
Kristy Cerna-Rivera had another solid showing in the 3-meter competition as the only diver (91.00). The 200 medley relay team of
Lauren Bahr,
Sophie Czerwonka,
Lillian McGuire and
Natalie Weidner earned a runner-up finish in 1:59.40.
