RIPON, Wisconsin – The Ripon College men's and women's swimming and diving programs were picked seventh in their respective preseason Midwest Conference coaches polls as announced by the league on Friday.
The projected top-five teams on each side were nearly picked in the same order, as the Grinnell women won the MWC title for the third consecutive season in 2024 and the Grinnell men claimed first for the eighth-straight event. Grinnell, Lake Forest, St. Norbert and Lawrence were each projected to finish in the top four in each gender, while Illinois College was slotted fifth on the men's side and Monmouth was picked fifth on the women's side.
At last year's Midwest Conference Championships, the Ripon women tied for fifth place while the men took seventh overall. Head coach
Grace Carlson takes over the reins of both the Ripon men's and women's programs this season, inheriting 14 women and three men from the 2023-24 squads. Carlson welcomes in four total newcomers for 2024-25: two men and two women.
