RIPON, Wisconsin – The Ripon swim and dive programs hosted their first of two dual meets at Kohler Pool this season, competing against Midwest Conference rival Lawrence on Saturday.
The women took down Lawrence 111-104, while the men dropped a 102-57 decision. Ripon's women's team won eight events on Saturday, while the men claimed three first-place finishes in a productive dual against a conference rival.
Sky Domingo opened the individual portion of the meet with a bang for Ripon, winning the 1000 free in 12:04.63. She also took down the 100 free field in 58.82.
Natalie Weidner won a pair of individual events as well, taking first in the 200 free with a time of 2:10.49 and the 500 free in 5:56.69.
A third Red Hawk was an individual winner on Saturday, as
Sophie Czerwonka paced the 200 IM field in 2:30.57 – the senior also took first in the 100 back (1:05.17) and the 100 breast (1:14.32) to help Ripon's cause.
The women's 400 free relay team of
Macey Manni,
Lauren Bahr, Domingo and Weidner rounded out the women's portion of the meet, claiming first in 4:03.17.
On the men's side,
Cooper Herr was Ripon's first winner, taking the 200 free event in 1:53.36.
Ben Rahlf won the 100 fly in 55.94, and freshman
Liam Yeager took first in the 100 back with a time of 1:21.59.
Miki Canak (50 free, 100 free) and
Sean Rath (100 breast) earned individual runner-up finishes for the Red Hawks.
