RIPON, Wisconsin – Defensive end Gavin Engh of the Ripon football program has been named to the D3football.com Team of the Week as announced by the organization on Tuesday morning.
 
Engh had a monster day in Ripon's 16-7 home win over Beloit on Saturday. The junior recorded five total tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks and one forced fumble. As a team, Ripon sacked Beloit quarterback Jacob Shafer a season-high eight times.
 
The DeKalb, Illinois native leads Ripon with 11 tackles-for-loss and four quarterback hurries this season, and is second with three sacks.
 
This is the second consecutive season Ripon has had a defensive player named to the D3football.com Team of the Week – Jaden Shackelford was honored last season on October 24.
 
The Team of the Week, presented by Scoutware, is D3football.com's weekly honor roll, in its 26th season of recognizing the top performance at each position from the previous week. Players are nominated by schools.
 
Ripon hosts Lawrence in the Red Hawks' season finale on Saturday, November 16. Kickoff from Hopp Stadium on Senior Day is set for 12 p.m.
