Rebecca Roszel,
Ashlynn Erickson,
Juliana Garcia and
Cielo Gutierrez of the Ripon women's soccer program have been selected as College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honorees as announced by the organization on Tuesday morning.
To be eligible for academic all-district honors, sophomore or older student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or above while playing in 90% or starting in 66% of their team's competitions in the season.
Klementzos, a Political Science and Communication major from Salem, Wisconsin, appeared and started in 18 games this season. She led Ripon with 13 points, 45 shots and 22 shots on goal. Klementzos was second on the team with five goals and three assists, had three game-winning goals and successfully connected on all three of her penalty kick attempts.
Palazzolo, a Biomedical Science major from Sterling Heights, Michigan, appeared and started in all 19 games for the Red Hawks. She scored a pair of goals this past season on 26 shots (13 on goal).
Roszel, an Exercise Science-Athletic Training major from Fremont, California, started all 19 games for Ripon this season. She had a team-high six goals, and was second on the team with 12 points, 28 shots and 17 shots on goal.
Erickson, an undeclared major from Elk River, Minnesota, appeared in all 19 games and made 15 starts for the Red Hawks. As one of Ripon's top defenders, she took four shots – three on goal.
Garcia, an Economics and Exercise Science - Sports Management major from Quito, Ecuador, appeared in all of Ripon's contests for the second consecutive season. She made one start and took three shots (one on goal).
Gutierrez, a Communication major from Oshkosh, Wisconsin, appeared in all 19 games for the Red Hawks and made 15 starts. She scored two goals and recorded a team-high four assists, tallying 15 total shots (seven on goal).
Ripon finished its 2024 season 5-11-3 overall, and 1-6-1 in conference play.
