Men's Track and Field Picked to Repeat as MWC Champions in 2025

RIPON, Wisconsin – After winning the last three indoor and outdoor Midwest Conference championships, the Ripon men's track and field program was chosen to win the league titles again in 2025 as the MWC preseason coaches poll was released on Thursday afternoon.

Four different teams received first-place votes. Ripon received three and Monmouth (1), Illinois College (2) and Cornell (2) were also recognized. Thirteen points separated the top five teams in the poll.

Leading the conference, 13 Red Hawk men return that were named All-Midwest Conference performers last season: Jacoby Cefalu, Jacob Davies, Ben Fisher, Christian Kuwaye, Finley Manning, Dorian Phillips, Adisun Romprey, Isaac San Diego, Matt Seeber, Sam Trzebiatowksi, Logan Vander Galien, Rainier Villanueva and Dameco Walker. No other school in the Midwest Conference returns more than eight All-MWC performers from a season ago.

Cefalu (indoor), Walker (indoor and outdoor) and Fisher (outdoor) all competed at the NCAA Division III Track & Field Championships last year. Walker was named the Men's Field Outstanding Performer at both the indoor and outdoor 2024 MWC Championships while earning All-American honors in the indoor long jump, indoor triple jump and outdoor long jump. Fisher was Ripon's second All-American in 2024, earning outdoor high jump All-American honors.

The coaching staff, led by Bob Wood, was named the indoor and outdoor coaching staffs of the year in 2022, 2023 and 2024.
