DE PERE, Wisconsin – The Ripon women's tennis program wrapped up its first weekend of spring competition on Sunday, falling to St. Norbert 9-0 at the Green Bay Tennis Center.
St. Norbert (7-8) jumped on Ripon (1-12) in doubles, winning all three matches while dropping just six total games, though
Allison Pavlovec and
Isabella Demeuse put up a tough fight and fell 8-5 on the second court.
SNC parlayed its momentum into singles, winning five of six first sets. The Green Knights convincingly clinched the match with victories on courts four and five to open singles before also taking straight-set matches on the third, sixth and first courts.
Pavlovec won her opening set, but dropped a tight 6-7 (5), 6-1, 1-0 (11-9) decision on the second line to round out the afternoon.
NEXT UP: Ripon enjoys a two-week break before hosting Concordia University Chicago inside the Willmore Center on Sunday (February 25) at 1:30 p.m.
