RIPON, Wisconsin – After seven seasons leading the Ripon softball program, head coach Steve Wammer will be stepping down from coaching to assume the role of Associate Athletic Director, effective immediately.
 
The third-winningest coach in program history, Wammer accumulated 67 wins totaling back to 2018. In his first season, Wammer led Ripon to its highest win total in six years, going 16-20 with a 10-8 mark in the Midwest Conference play – giving Ripon a share of fourth place in the standings that year.
 
Wammer coached 12 All-Midwest Conference players, while five were first team selections. Every season leading the Red Hawks, Wammer placed at least one athlete on the postseason All-MWC squad.
 
A search for the next head softball coach at Ripon will begin immediately.
