RIPON, Wisconsin – Eleven members of the Ripon men's and women's tennis programs were named Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar-Athletes as announced by the ITA on Wednesday.

Ella Clark,
Tia Endrizzi,
Victoria Enk,
Chase Polyak,
Aubrey Malotky,
Allison Pavlovec,
Catherine Skoglund,
Hadley Berendsen and
Jessica Griepentrog were all first-time honorees by the ITA.
In addition, the women's program received the ITA All-Academic Team Award for having a team GPA of 3.2 or above (on a 4.0 scale) for the 2023-24 academic year.
Sippel, a sophomore Biology major from Appleton, Wisconsin, led Ripon with seven singles wins in dual play this season, going 7-13 from the top spot in the lineup. In doubles, he was the team-leader with nine dual wins – all from the top line as well. He also won consolation titles in both singles and doubles on the first line at the Midwest Conference Individual Tennis Tournament.
Stevens, a sophomore Economics and Business Management major from Mukwonago, Wisconsin, finished his sophomore campaign with a 4-10 dual singles record playing solely from the second spot in the lineup. He sported a 5-9 doubles record from the top two lines, playing with Sippel on the top court for nearly all of Midwest Conference action. At the MWC Individual Tennis Tournament, Stevens teamed up with Sippel to win the consolation doubles title on the top line.
Clark, a freshman from Columbus, Wisconsin, won her only singles match of the season. She won in straight sets on the sixth line at Alverno in the Red Hawks' season finale.
Endrizzi, a junior from La Crosse, Wisconsin, did not play in 2023-24 due to a medical redshirt, but expects to be back for the Red Hawks this upcoming fall.
Enk, a senior Psychology major from Stittville, New York, won her lone doubles match of the season, helping Ripon defeat Dubuque at home in March.
Polyak, a junior Communications and English major from Lombard, Illinois, was 2-16 in singles playing solely from the top spot in the lineup. Also playing from the first line in doubles, she went 3-15.
Malotky, a junior Finance and Communications major from Clintonville, Wisconsin, sported a 2-12 dual singles record from the fourth, fifth and sixth lines. In doubles, she was 0-1 occupying the third spot.
Pavlovec, a sophomore History and Political Science major from Decorah, Iowa, led Ripon with four singles victories from the second and third lines. She also had a team-high five doubles wins playing at all three spots in the lineup.
Skoglund, a sophomore from Roberts, Wisconsin, was 1-7 in dual singles matches from the fifth and sixth lines and 0-5 in doubles from the third slot. She picked up a critical win in the opening match of the season to help the Red Hawks defeat Marian at home.
Berendsen, a sophomore from Kimberly, Wisconsin, played the entirety of the campaign from the second line in singles. She collected one doubles victory from the top flight, earning a win in the home opener against Marian.
Griepentrog, a freshman from Freedom, Wisconsin, went 2-5 in dual singles matches from the third and fourth spots in the lineup. She also was 3-6 in doubles playing from the top two lines.
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, student-athletes are eligible if they have a GPA of 3.5 or above for the 2023-24 academic year.
The Ripon women begin the 2024 season with a road match at the University of Dubuque on Friday, August 30 at 4 p.m., while the Ripon men's opener is set for Thursday, September 12 at 3 p.m. against host UW-Stevens Point. The men's spring slate, in addition to the women's 2025 spring schedule, will be announced at a later date.
