WHITEWATER, Wisconsin – The Ripon men's and women's cross country programs continued their fall schedules on Saturday, competing against some of the region's best at the Tom Hoffman Invitational hosted by UW-Whitewater.
The women came in second place – their second consecutive runner-up finish as a team – while the men took fifth.
In the women's 6K race,
Jenny Cortes netted her third top 10 finish in as many races this season. The junior placed fifth in 24:14.8, only finishing behind a trio of UW-Whitewater runners and a competitor from Dubuque. Cortes wasn't the only Red Hawk in the top 10, as
Gabby Allard finished ninth in 25:01.8.
