DE PERE, Wisconsin – After a two-plus month layoff, the Ripon swim and dive programs returned to competition on Saturday afternoon as the Red Hawks faced off against St. Norbert and MSOE at the Mulva Family Fitness & Sports Center.
Competing in a double dual against the host Green Knights and the Raiders, the women's impressive 143-52 dual victory over MSOE highlighted the afternoon.
Natalie Weidner recorded a first-place finish in the 200 free, doing so in 2:08.25 for the Red Hawks' lone individual victory of the day. She also took third in the 100 free (57.48). A number of Red Hawks on both the men's and women's side placed second and third in their respective events.
The women's 200 medley relay team of Weidner,
Lauren Bahr,
Kiarra Kahl and
Lillian McGuire took second in 1:58.47, while
Mary Elliot took second in the one-meter diving event with a finals score of 258.05 and her teammate
Morgan Sullivan placed third (254.80). Additionally, Bahr was the third-place finisher in the 100 back, clocking in at 1:06.28. Finally on the women's side, the 200 free relay foursome of McGuire, Kahl,
Sky Domingo and
Kennedy Moore placed third in 1:51.47.
On the men's side,
Ben Rahlf was the 100 fly runner-up, sporting a time of 55.05.
Cooper Herr took second in the 500 free, finishing in 5:11.19, and he also was the third finisher in the 200 free with a time of 1:50.63. To finish out the meet, the men's 200 free relay team of Herr, Rahlf,
Liam Yeager and
Miki Canak crossed the finish line third in 1:38.24.
Fourth-place finishers included Weidner in the 500 free (5:44.42) and the women's 200 free relay team of
Grace McCrery,
Anna Bose,
Brenann O'Leary and
Macey Manni (1:59.46).
