RIPON, Wisconsin – Eight members of the Ripon football program have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team as announced by the organization on Tuesday morning.

Drew Love,
Nolan Perry,
Zane Vetter,
Bryce Braunel,
Gage Taylor,
Blake Thelen and
Noah Hanson all were recognized for their efforts on the field and in the classroom. Braunel and Taylor are repeat honorees from 2023, while Keyes, Love, Perry, Vetter, Thelen and Hanson are first-time recipients.
Keyes, a sophomore from Brooklyn, Wisconsin, appeared in nine games for Ripon as both a quarterback and holder. He completed 24-of-44 passes with one touchdown, and made his first career start under center against Chicago on October 19. On the ground, he rushed for two touchdowns.
Love, a Business Management and Economics major from Wausau, Wisconsin, played in all 10 games as a linebacker in 2024. He totaled 11 total tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks.
Perry, a Computer Science major from Genoa, Illinois, played in all 10 games as a defensive back. He was third on the team with 44 total tackles and led Ripon with two interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown against Lawrence.
Vetter, a Politics and Government major from Mayville, Wisconsin, started all 10 games for Ripon as a linebacker. He was second on the team with 54 total tackles and 6.0 tackles for loss. He forced and recovered a fumble in 2024, and sealed the 24-17 Homecoming win over Knox with his first career interception.
Braunel, a History major from Neenah, Wisconsin, appeared in all 10 games for the second consecutive season as a tight end. He caught 10 passes for 49 yards and hauled in his first touchdown of the season in the finale against Lawrence. He caught at least one pass in nine of 10 games.
Taylor, a Business Management major from Burlington, Wisconsin, appeared in nine games this season. He recorded 32 total tackles, five pass deflections and one interception as a defensive back. He also returned three punts and was a weapon as a kick returner with eight returns for 157 yards (19.6 yards per return).
Thelen, an Exercise Science major from Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, appeared in nine games as a wide receiver. He caught five passes for 28 yards, hauling in two catches at both Cornell and Lake Forest.
Hanson, a sophomore from Ripon, Wisconsin, appeared in nine games as an offensive lineman. He helped Ripon rush for 1,322 yards and 18 touchdowns while throwing for 1,374 yards and 10 scores.
Ripon finished the 2024 season 4-6 overall and 4-5 in Midwest Conference play, winning its final two games of the season.
