SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- Senior
Jenny Cortes (Round Lake, Ill., Round Lake HS) and sophomore
Joley Berger (Dunbar, Wis., Pembine HS) finished their 2025 cross country seasons at the NCAA Championships this Saturday, Nov 22, in both runners' first career appearance at the national race.
Cortes crossed the line first for the Red Hawks, coming in with a time of 22:43.2, good for 87th out of the nearly 300 best runners in Division III. Berger finished just 20 seconds behind with a time of 23:03.0, placing 131st. For Cortes, the race caps off a Ripon College career featuring three All-Region selections, three All-MWC awards, and the second fastest 6k PR in school history. For Berger, the sophomore finishes her second season with her first All-Region selection, her second All-MWC award, and the outright school record in the 6k.
