KENOSHA, Wisconsin – The Ripon swim and dive programs wrapped up regular season competition this weekend, competing in the annual Wisconsin Private College Championships hosted by Carthage at the Koenitzer Aquatic Center.
In women's events,
Sky Domingo earned a fourth-place finish in the 500 free with a time of 5:29.75 and also took seventh in the 1650 free (19:45.09).
Natalie Weidner was right behind her in the 500 free, taking sixth in 5:42.52. Weidner also took sixth in the 200 free (2:07.77) and eighth in the 100 free (58.51).
Kiarra Kahl put together a strong 100 breast race, finishing seventh with a time of 1:13.86. She also finished in the top-10 in the 200 breast (eighth place, 2:42.88).
Sophie Czerwonka took sixth in the 100 back (1:05.87), seventh in the 200 breast (2:42.21) and ninth in the 400 IM (5:15.75, fourth-best all-time in school history).
Across relays, the women's 200 medley foursome of
Lauren Bahr, Kahl,
Lillian McGuire and Weidner clocked in at 2:00.21 for a sixth-place finish, while the 200 free relay team of Weidner, Domingo, Kahl and
Lauren Bahr placed eighth in 1:46.67. The women's 400 free relay team of Domingo,
Anna Bose,
Macey Manni and Czerwonka crossed the finish line ninth in 4:06.52 to round out a solid weekend of racing.
On the men's side,
Ben Rahlf placed third in the 100 fly with a 54.78 performance. He also had a solid 200 breast time, taking ninth in 2:26.50.
Cooper Herr also had multiple top-10 finishes, taking seventh in both the 200 free (1:49.60) and the 100 free (48.47) while finishing 10th in the 500 free (5:06.94).
Both teams came in sixth.
UP NEXT: Ripon has three weeks off before competing at the Midwest Conference Championships from February 20-23. This year's event will once again be hosted by Grinnell.
